Camping with kids

Camping Kapinovsky Monastery

author: Ana Boneva

The scent of the grass, while stepping with bare feet, the twilight of the stars that puts us to sleep; being outside all the time, and eating food baked on fire – these memories are engraved in our minds turning camping from a sweet memory into a new dream.

We learned about the Kapinovsky Monastery from a good friend and in July 2023, during the warmest days, we decided to visit it for a couple of days. The road to the campsite was nice, there were signs, and when we arrived we chose a large green meadow with a tall tree, underneath we nestled our tent.

Our children love playing outside, and therefore they wait impatiently to every tent adventure. In Camping Kapinovsky Monastery there is a lot of fun for all kids: there are two large trampolines, swings, slides and freestanding climbers, and just next to the

playground there is a children’s pool, its entrance is paid separately, but it is wonderful to cool off in the pool and dry yourself with games.

The sanitary facilities in the campsite are well cleaned, there is also a kitchen and refrigerators that can be used. Personally, what impressed me the most were the spacious green meadows and centuries-old pines that generously gave us their shadows. In close proximity was the Kapinovo waterfall, where young men bravely jumped and dived into the cool waters of the Vesselina River. For the children it was undoubtedly a wonderful experience with this direct contact with nature, they found new wonderful friends and we are looking forward to come again.
