BEST PLACES TO TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN ACCORDING TO THEIR AGE

Traveling with children can be challenging, or it can be fun and the best thing you’ve ever done together. Usually, children have completely different mind for the vacation itinerary, but I believe that with a little flexibility and creativity we can adjust their interests with the planned route and schedule.

Here are my tips for trips according to the different ages of the children.

From 0 to 1 year

As unbelievable as it sounds, this is the easiest period to travel. Luggage with diapers can be bulky, but you can also buy some of them on site. While your baby sleeps most of the time in the stroller, you can guide it through the places you like the most.

Some of the best places to push a stroller are Lake Lugano, as well as the other picturesque Swiss lakes, the Norwegian capital Oslo, and sunny Madrid. And if you are looking for a beach holiday – I recommend the neighbouring to Bulgaria – Greece, which has some of the cleanest and best beaches.

From 2 to 4 years

When children become mobile, it is good to look for places to spend this energy. For the younger ones, we recommend a visit to Munich and the nearby Fairytale Forest (https://maerchenwald-isartal.de) , as well as the beautiful town of Den Bosch in Netherlands and its magical forest in Efteling Park. At this age, children love zoos very much, and some of the best zoos in Europe you can see on this link.

From 5 to 7 years

Every trip enriches us, and it’s especially exciting to see children’s faces when they see something for the first time. In preschool, children are more inquisitive and it is good to keep this curiosity with more engaged activities while traveling. You can have a safari at a zoo like Selwo Aventura in Costa del Sol, Spain, or explore the wonderful city of science in Valencia. Amusement parks for younger children such as Playmobile Park near Nuremberg, Germany and Leolandia in Italy are also suitable.

From 8 to 10 years

At this age, children become more independent and inquisitive. I recommend the rich in sights and museums European capitals such as London, Vienna and Prague. Even better for children in this period is to spend more time outside, and accordingly you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tenerife and the beaches there. And if you ask the children, they will surely choose an amusement park like Disneyland in Paris, Gardaland in Italy or Poulton Park in England. Here is a link to some of the best amusement parks in Europe.

From 11 to 14 years

At this age, children already have their own interests and preferences, and a good holiday and / or excursion oblige you to comply with them. If possible, at this age, I recommend that you take them to a more exotic place such as Thailand or Mexico, and why not get on a big cruise ship. Closer destinations suitable for this age are Copenhagen, Denmark, Barcelona in Spain and even Iceland.

From 15 to 16 years

At this age, it’s likely that teenagers will be happier to travel without you, but you can still provide them with fun co-time such as a visit to the amusement park like Europa Park in Germany, a camping holiday in Corsica, or a two-hour Game of Thrones-themed tour in Split, Croatia. Beach parties are also not to be missed, and you can find many in Malta, the island of Rhodes and Mallorca. I also recommend a tour of Portugal by car – along the way there are numerous beaches, castles and sights for every taste.
